When using WORD I get the following message:

The MAPISVC.INF file is missing

How do I find it? This is occurring on a new Dell Computer and Microsoft Office 2000 was installed by Dell before I received the computer.

How can I find file: MAPISVC.INF

How does one find any file when you get an error message that the file is missing?

"The MAPISVC.INF file is missing" is actually related to Outlook The reason you recieved this erro is the setup runs a program called MERGEMAPI.EXE, which updates an existing MAPISVC.INF file with info about cc:Mail service When the file is not there, you receive this message Try reinstalling Outlook and make sure to select either Workgroup or Corporate install (Note: The Internet Only version of Outlook will not support the ConnectorWare MAPI Service for cc:Mail.)
