How to fix my frozen laptop?

My husband left the laptop in our trunk for a couple of days. I think it froze - literally. I can't get it to start up even after leaving it plugged in for over 24 hours. Do you think the laptop can be repaired and at what cost (ballpark)?

Either the motherboard has gone completely bad (which I doubt on my particular laptop since the warranty repair center "supposedly" changed the motherboard on mine) or the expansion memory slot underneath our laptops have gone bad or are "dirty" To make a long story short, check out the memory expansion slot underneath the laptop (not the "built-in" memory slot underneath the keyboard) If you added more memory like I did, the extra memory may not be making contact with the slot Try cleaning it out by applying a very thin layer of alcohol (i used "Endust for Electronics") on the teeth of the memory and slide it in and out of the slot a few times to clean both the teeth of the memory and the connectors on the slot If your laptop still doesn't work, it may be your extra memory
